Dust buildup is inevitable throughout the year. Especially if you’ve lived in your home for a long time, it can be a hassle to get those covered or hard-to-reach spots. We found a few tips and tricks to help you conquer those pesky dust bunnies so you can head into spring all fresh and clean. Let’s take a look at how you can put these tips into action in your own home!
Have you ever avoided looking up at your ceiling fan? Everyone knows that dust builds up on the blades like crazy. So much so that you’ve probably just let it keep collecting at this point. That’s silly, though, because it’s not difficult to clean. Simply wet a paper towel and use it to wipe away the dust. Give it a few times, and then switch to a soft-bristle brush. Finish it off with another wipe from a paper towel and you’re good to go.
The Air You Breathe
It’s crucial to clean the vents in which your air comes out! You don’t want to be breathing in dust particles, after all. It’s pretty simple, just use a soft-brush vacuum attachment to get the dust up, then clean with a microfiber cloth. Now you’re all good to go.
If your furniture has been in the same spot for a long period of time, it’s time to move it around and clean underneath. A great place to start is in the kitchen. Move your stove, fridge, microwave, and really anything that you can move. You’ll be surprised what has fallen back there. Use a mop on the floor to clean up the mess, and a paper towel on the counters behind the microwave. While you’re at it, take everything off the counters and give it a good clean.

You might not even think of this one off the bat, but it’s important. Wiping with a cloth usually does the trick, so a quick dusting is all it needs. Wipe off your computer, TV, phone, and anything else that needs it. Use a vacuum extension to get hard-to-reach crevices.
